2025 MTJA Spring Conference

ALG Vacations is proud to host the Midwest Travel Journalists Association for its Spring 2025 Conference from May 10-14, 2025. Join us in the stunning Playa del Carmen, located in the heart of Mexico’s Riviera Maya, for an unforgettable getaway. Conference Registration

• January 16th, 2025, at 9:00 AM CST – Registration Opens for Steps 1 & 2
  • MTJA members step 1 & 2 at the bottom of the page are open for registration.  Step 3 will be available by noon CST Wednesday, January 22, 2025.  
• February 9, 2025 – Registration Closes

Note: daily lodging rates include tax, gratuities and/or other fees. 

Active MTJA Members

• $150 MTJA Spring Conference Registration Fee
• Guestroom Accommodations
  • Active Members enjoy complimentary accommodations from May 10-14, 2025. For those who wish to extend their stay, a preferred nightly rate of $318 pp/pn (based on double occupancy) or $607 pp/pn (based on single occupancy) is available. 

Associate and Alternate Associate MTJA Members

• $200 MTJA Spring Conference Registration Fee
• Guestroom Accommodations
  • Associate Members enjoy a preferred nightly accommodation rate of $275 pp/pn (based on single occupancy) from May 10-14, 2025. For those who wish to extend their stay, a preferred nightly rate of $318 pp/pn (based on double occupancy) or $607 pp/pn (based on single occupancy) is available.

Guests of MTJA Members 

• $250 MTJA Spring Conference Registration Fee
• Guestroom Accommodations
  • A preferred nightly rate of $359 is available to guests who share a room with an MTJA member.

MTJA Board Members

• Enjoy complimentary accommodations from May 9-14, 2025.   For those who wish to extend their stay, a preferred nightly rate of $318 pp/pn (based on double occupancy) or $607 per person (based on single occupancy) is available.

Conference Policies

• MTJA Spring Conference Registration Fees Refund Policy
  • Members and spouses/guests who cancel their paid registration no later than 30 days before the starting date of the core conference (excluding pre-conference tours), shall receive a full refund of their MTJA Spring Conference Registration Fee.  (April 10, 2025) 
  • Those who cancel their registrations from 15 to 29 days before the core conference begins, shall receive a 50 percent refund of their MTJA Spring Conference Registration Fee.  (April 11 – 25, 2025) 
  • Those who cancel from 8 to 14 days before the core conference begins, shall receive a 25 percent refund of their MTJA Spring Conference Registration Fee.  (April 26 – May 2, 2025)
  • Those who cancel less than 7 days before the core conference begins shall receive no refund of their MTJA Spring Conference Registration Fee.   A refund exception because of illness. (May 3, 2025)
• ENVF airfare booked through ALGV Flight Cancellation Terms:
  • 45+ days from departure – $50 per person penalty
  • 44 – 31 days from departure – $125 per person penalty
  • 30 – 0 days from departure – 100% non-refundable
  • Note: Anyone not taking an ENVF, booked through ALGV, is subject to their respective airline’s cancellation fees.
• Lodging Cancellation Policy: 
  • Up to 66 days before the arrival date – no penalty
  • For lodging canceled 65 days or less before the arrival date, the charge is 100 percent of the reservation (even if one of a room’s two occupants attends).
