Associate & Alternate Associate Membership Renewal

The MTJA Associate and Alternate Associate membership renewal period will open Oct. 1, 2023. All renewals and payments need to be received by 5 p.m. (Central time) on Nov. 15, 2023. A $25 late fee will be instituted after Nov. 15, 2023. Any renewals received after Dec. 8, 2023 will not be included in the 2024 Membership Directory. 

MTJA Membership Renewal Overview:

  • All renewals and payments need to be received by 5 p.m. (Central time) on Nov. 15, 2023. 
  • A $25 late fee will be instituted after Nov. 15, 2023. 
  • Any renewals received after Dec. 8, 2023, will not be included in the 2024 Membership Directory. 
  • As part of this form, you will be providing information that will appear in the 2024 MTJA Membership Directory, a significant source of information to other members, editors, publishers, and travel industry leaders. Be complete and accurate.
  • Materials must be submitted on letterhead and dated in the calendar year of the renewal period (2023). Documents not provided on letterhead or dated improperly will be rejected and must be re-submitted.
  • Membership dues are $215 for Associates and $175 for Alternate Associates.

Step 1
Review the renewal requirements for your membership type.

Step 2
Gather all necessary documentation to attach to the 2024 Membership Renewal Form.

Step 3
Complete the 2024 Membership Renewal Form.

Step 4
Pay your dues by clicking “Associate Dues” or the “Alt Associate Dues.”
[Reminder: A late fee of $25 will be instituted for renewals paid after Nov. 15, 2023.]

Section 1: Information for MTJA Membership Directory – All Associate Member Types

  • Organization’s Website
  • Client List (if PR Firm/Agency)

  • Organization’s Threads
  • Awards/Honors/Affiliations (members may list up to 5 items received within the past 7 years. If more than 5 items are submitted, we will accept the first 5 only.)
  • Select your membership type

Section 2: Forms required to submit based on membership type

Associate Member – DMO

  1. Submit a statement (not to exceed 200 words) on your organization’s letterhead describing the ways in which you served at least three travel journalists in the past year. This statement MUST be dated (2023) and submitted as a .pdf.
  2. Submit a dated (2023) letter on your organization’s letterhead from your immediate supervisor affirming your continued occupation in the role that earned your membership in MTJA.
  3. Submit payment for dues ($215).

Associate Member – PR Firm/Agency

  1. Submit a statement (not to exceed 200 words) on your organization’s letterhead describing the ways in which you served at least three travel journalists in the past year. This statement MUST be dated (2023) and submitted as a .pdf.
  2. Submit letters from two travel-related clients dated (2023) and on the client’s letterhead, verifying that your firm is their representative for travel media. Submit these two letters in a combined .pdf.
  3. Submit payment for dues ($215).

Associate Member – State Tourism Office

  1. Submit a statement (not to exceed 200 words) on your organization’s letterhead describing the ways in which you served at least three travel journalists in the past year. This statement MUST be dated (2023) and submitted as a .pdf.
  2. Submit a dated (2023) letter on your organization’s letterhead from your immediate supervisor affirming your continued occupation in the role that earned your membership in MTJA.
  3. Submit payment for dues ($215).

Alternate Associate Member – DMO

  1. Submit a dated (2023) letter on your organization’s letterhead from your immediate supervisor affirming your continued occupation in the role that earned your membership in MTJA.
  2. Submit payment for dues ($175).

Alternate Associate Member – PR Firm/Agency

  1. Submit a dated (2023) letter on your organization’s letterhead from your immediate supervisor affirming your continued occupation in the role that earned your membership in MTJA.
  2. Submit payment for dues ($175).

Alternate Associate Member – State Tourism Office

  1. Submit a dated (2023) letter on your organization’s letterhead from your immediate supervisor affirming your continued occupation in the role that earned your membership in MTJA.
  2. Submit payment for dues ($175).
