The Travel Journalist of the Year Award is presented annually to the best overall journalist selected from all winners of the Mark Twain Awards. The award through the 2017 competition was entitled “Travel Writer of the Year.” The new title reflects MTJA’s view that travel journalism now extends into media and venues beyond the printed page.
